My good friend Craig Adams - AKA Johnny 5 passed away today, after a long painful bout with small cell Carcinoma.

I am glad Craig is no longer in pain, but I will miss him dearly.

73 Craig....

sorry to hear about your friend. Living with cronic pain is very difficult for everyone concerned. I have a friend who is in a hospice now with cancer all over. The average hospice stay is from one to three weeks. My friend has been at the hospice for seven weeks now and he is getting anxious as he has seen almost a full turn over of the patients there since he arrived. The care is very good and the pain medication is excellent (he tells me). So now he is attempting to take life one day at a time. My friend is 57. Best regards Moray James.

Very sorry to hear about Johnny 5. Any family who needs help?

that's because folks decide on hospice care far later than they should.

Good for him. My late wife passed away from malignant melanoma in 2005. She was having some radiation therapy and one of the women who worked at the center told her to call a local hospice center NOW. We did when we got home and it was incredibly helpful.

My wife was 54 when she passed away, far too young.

Now happily remarried... :)

I have no doubt Craig's Wife Jill will do fine. Jill is smart, loving, and caring. Her friends and family adore her, and her youngest son is helping her day to day.

I believe Craig was 55.
