some update from the last days. i started to prepare one cabinet for veneering. smoothening cracks and corners, filling holes and painting parts that are not going to be veneered. after the whole capacitor discussing, it had another good look at mine (visual, not measuring) and found that both 2 and 4uF seem not that good as i thought they were. especially the 2uF has some bulging in the can. Together with the comments from previous prosts i have finally descided to replace them. First doing just one speaker so i can do some A/B testing -

Purchased a pair of klf-20 with the midrange at the bottom of the cabinet. Threads broken in the white plastic mounting adaptor. Looking to purchase 1 white adapter or a pair of the black adaptors. Let me know what you have! -

My brother in law just performed the complete Volti upgrade on his Klipschorn's (WOW) and has the entire driver complement, network, K-401K horns and motorboard he is willing to sell. So two K-77M's, K-55M's, K-401K's front motorboard assembly with grill, AK-3 networks complete with woofer circuit, Klipsch K-33 woofers all in perfect working order. He is in South Texas I will work with him on getting pricing for the whole lot. It will be tricky to ship obviously.
