Back at work for another string of 12.5 hour shifts. Waiting for morning to get here. Burned my mouth and throat pretty good on a cup on the way in to work last night. Nothing to report tonight, hope everybody has a great Wednesday morning today. Rog

Well its been a year or so since my last flyby. Its been a busy year. My 25 year old son just won a battle with both lung cancer and lymphoma . all the bills got paid and things look good. He even has his hair back now. My health finally is back on course and I am pain free. Started running again and I am up to 1/2 mile. I finally finished with my foundation repairs and the last 1/2 inch happened this sunday. it took $9000 bucks worth of foam to raise the slab. So now the cosmetics can begin. I setup and adjusted my table saw. I'm planning to build some Belle's and have been accumalating the parts for quite a while. My truck is in the shop for an estimate and if the price is too high....might be undertaking and engine rebuild myself to save the labor cost. Got rid of the Harleys. The electro glide was too hot and bruned my legs (a post 2007 harley problem) and everyone said I looked too big for the Vrod. So now I am riding a Yamaha venture (4 clyinder/100hp) and a yamaha VMAX (4cyl /200hp). still working a day job, with 22 years in so I can retire at anytime. next month makes me 58 going on 26 stay in good health til the next fly by Speakerfritz

Off the grid (somewhat), turned off cable and land line. I was the only one in the house watching 'live' TV so bought / replaced the kids and wife a cell phone and I watch TV from OTA antenna. Cable bill went from $206 to $54 keeping just 300 down / 20 up internet. I was paying an additional $140 for the wife's flip phone (no data), son's cell and my iPad data plan. So I went from $346 to $175 for 4 cells and I hotspot my iPad to any of our cells which allow 14 gig a month each for hot spot. Cost a bit to buy the phones outright but I like having the ability to fire the provider if they suck. Fence done, dog arrived (first vet bill today) and I am Jonesing for all the equipment I see for sale. Nice to see my son who was computer bound out running in the yard with his pup. Almost exactly one year ago, the last week of March 2015, I acquired my first pair of Klipsch speakers, 1979 Heresy 1 H-BR. These little gems improved my listening experience so much that they led me to purchase my second pair of Klipsch speakers three months later, 1994 Chorus 2 with Crites crossovers, Crites Titanium tweeter diaphragms, Crites Phenolic Midrange diaphragms and newly reconed woofers. Both pairs became the core of my Home Theatre system and are used many hours daily for TV, movies and music, usually together in an A/B configuration for stereo music listening. In November 2015 I got a pair of KLF20's, bone stock, no loose baffles. These are set up in the Master Bedroom and are used for 2 channel stereo listening. I have Titanium tweeter diaphragms that will be installed in the next few days and will post my thoughts after I've listened to them a bit. Because I listen to these wonderful speakers so much, it has become difficult to listen to lesser quality systems. It's like a whole bunch of the music is just missing and it takes quite a while to get used to. I'm now accustomed to hearing the details, a drum stick hitting the bell of a ride cymbal, the nuances of a vocalist, slight string noises of the guitar and fingers plucking notes on a bass guitar. Without these details, the music is basically background noise, which leaves me looking forward to getting home to MY system. It's not so bad if I'm at someone's home with a decent rig, but that doesn't happen often. Many thanks to all of YOU, for sharing your time, knowledge and experience with new guys like me. I've learned a ton about Klipsch and fine audio in general. I don't get to visit here as much as I'd like, but whenever I do, I learn something new and have never been treated badly, which speaks volumes about the quality of the folks in this community. A year having passed, we have finally moved to our new home, gotten everything put away, figured out where the grocery store is, and set up most of the audio stuff, Still does not sound as good as it did in the last house, but in time... At least we lost the mystery buzz. Moving is such a hassle, and this is the last time until they come and take me out feet first. While I have kept up with some of you by Facebook, email or phone, it seems strange to log onto the Forum again. We have made plans to come to Hope and look forward to seeing many of you again (or for the first time). I am happy the NOSValves is getting back to normal and can start to crank out his great stuff again.

I use a subwoofer(s) to supplement the bass I already have coming out of my full range speakers. It's two-channel only and only going down to 30hz. I don't want any 'rumble'.....just added headroom from 30hz up to 100hz. It's not because I'm a bass freak but the concept of additional headroom at these frequencies just flat out makes the music sound better as long as you don't get carried away with the gain on the subs.

This is the only series that I watch. Could be the best show on TV. But I hate the commercials, so I record it when it comes on at 9 pm and watch it at 10:30 after the news so I can fast forward through the commercials.

I really despise Klipsch for naming the new low end models reference. They are not. They revolted icon series. Aka Best Buy cheap stuff. Do yourself a solid and get reference premiere. Not sure how you are talking about mounting. I'd get the 160 bookshelves for mains and maybe the 440c to go with the 240 surrounds. You got the sub covered. Find you a good deal on the set and you'll be happy for a long time to come.

When I worked doing construction plumbing, we were always working with back hoe operators. Some were very talented. One guy would cross a wide ditch without the tires touching and for sport would pick up crushed cigarette boxes with one tooth of the bucket without disturbing the ground. He was a hell of a video game player as well.

That took a high level of skill. My dog "Sparkit" is a really big Great Pyrenees. He brought a young fawn to the house in his mouth. Little creature was unhurt and we were able to return it to the wild.

For about the first 24 hours, I was doing case counts on pallets, had to work in pairs and crawl up in the racks and count the physical cases. After that, I was driving straddle, a stand up fork lift that goes 6 bays high and has two legs that straddle either side of the pallet. you have to get off and throw cases to the side of the hole, pull out the old pallet, find out where a full pallet of product is with the telezon, and fill the hole. I was still getting over 100 pallets an hour at 52 hours which is better than a lot of guys get on their regular shift, but because of tunnel vision and not being able to take in what was going on around me, I almost ran into a guy and almost ran into a fork lift as well the last 8 hours? Roger Yea, but that's just Roger's part time gig.....in real life he's a brain surgeon.....

Thank you. I would hate to think that you would intentionally charge Klipsch forum members more than you would on Craig's List. I'm sure when it was first brought to your attention by another forum member in this same thread that it was an "oversight" on your part.

Yeah, the font is too small for the text you choose to use and part of the problem is you're trying to get everything on a page that does not scroll---make the font larger--nothing wrong with scrolling on a web site. Red doesn't mix well with the green background--change it. All the pages do not need to be the same color. Some of the pages have too many words and need a little more "art" or something to break up the grey matter---seems like all the lines overwhelm you after looking at it for a few minutes--don't be afraid to be creative by using a few illustrations to break up the wordiness of the web page. On the Swampoodle Review page--Get rid of the RED--it's not working with the green background-- It might work if the backgrond was a different color--red can be a hard color to blend on the internet with other colors--try and color that is easier to read against that background. I'm not crazy about the smaller font on that page too. I might use a different font that is easier to read in the description. The Headline itself looks fine.

Yep. If you need two, it's because your actually running a "submidrange." That's were this myth comes from. One of our members runs his in the NEXT ROOM! And visitors are amazed at the bass. If you have full range speakers good to at least 50 hz (c1 octave) then your sub should crossover accordingly. My k'horns good to c1 itself (32hz) are crossed over to my Cinema F-6 accordingly. There is no directionality and if you think their is you are audiohalluncinating. I have a reputation for not claiming to know what others hear and I stick to it...but in this case science is on my side and I have never had a guest who even knew a subwoofer was in use (it's cleverly disguised as a bar) much less heard directionality. Wouldn't trade my sub, and dang sure wouldn't want a second one of these monsters in the listening room! Now, you HT folks using less than 8 octave fronts...all best off as your are into the mid range which is, by definition, directional. Heck, you may need 4! Dave

If we are just talking about music and two channel, the only reasons you even need a sub are either your mains are not full range, or you listen to pipe organ recordings. For example, an electric bass guitar bottoms out at around 40hz or so. I can't remember the exact frequency, but I have a chart saved on my old computer which barely works lol.

Romy the cat doesn't tell us enough. If he has two subs, and he is either powering them mono or stereo, it is possible he is doubling the actual input when he has the stereo setup engaged. Or worded a different way, halving the input of the two subs when in mono. Yes, that would make a difference! As far as flipping from left to right, I don't know how a person could be objective because that would take some time. I have trouble with simple A/B switching comparisons, let alone an entire rewire then re-listen. The guy believes what he is saying, but science and facts don't lie.

Great PDF! From what I have looked into, configuration 10 and 11 are the best. I am running my sub at 180 deg. phase in the null in the middle of the room and it sounds good to me. It is important to realize too that while below 100hz is not able to be localized, the subwoofer's distortion is easy to localize and people should solve that issue first.

Well more like what my kids got yesterday. We replied to an ad where some folks had rescued an abandoned puppy.
