  2. Sweet! I'm going to do biscuits your way and give them a shot. It's amazing, that no matter how long you've been doing something, you're never too old to learn new tricks. Looks great, but now that you've cooked liquid in the cast, you will have to refer to page 3 of the cast iron page and sand blast them and reseason them at 1200 degrees with castrol gtx50 to get them back. LMAO. Nice job!

  3. Nice! I have to open the pool tomorrow. The temps here just decided to go up, so Denise want's it done and my granddaughter asked me on Wednesday "GDaddy, Maylie go in the pool" She's a hair over 2 years, so no correction on sentence structure. LOL

  5. I filled our "pool" the other day. Really been too cold. Kid went in and 3 days later I emptied the pool. It is a plastic tug boat pool/sandbox. I've threatened to take it to the lake. Pretty sure it would keep my carcass afloat. Would be a kick. Like walking into a bar full of bikers in a sarong. And a little smarter than the guys that tried to do a BluesBros and jump a raised drawbridge. The police are still determining whether alcohol/drugs were involved. This sounds like a classic case of "Hold my beer" to me.

  7. Yes, it drips there, pour water in the top, I haven't seen a percolator pot in a very long time, it's a Drip-O-Lator brand it's stamped on the bottom. It's all I know about it. It was my Grandfathers coffee pot, I remember him using it when I was little, he used a piece of pantyhose as a filter. Not fast but It does make good coffee, I switched when it was given to me after he died when I compared to a mr-coffee I was using. .

  8. True, I was just taught how to make them like this about a year ago, I like it better than the Bisquick type, it's easier to me. Like the Castrol seasoning, never would have thought it, but 1200 degrees sounds about right.

  9. Supertramp on the beach in the summer of 75 recording throughout and in between two tours releasing this in the fall of 75. Many said it stunk but i think it's a great album. In 2015 Hodgson said he thought it was their best work. A bit different but it's definately got Supertramp all over it! Ni ni sports fans!

  14. Two posts and the next 2 days are shot for me............Thanks! I have to resurrect the grill as well (blew off the deck 2x's in the last 60 days), or just go buy something to get me through until I get the built in done/started. After 16 hours today, it might just be to go buy something. Happy Memorial Day!

Since I am off the Chorus list now (2 pairs ) next person up. Only took 3 days to find them!

  18. Appreciate all the titles you put up here that I know nothing about @Full Range. When I've got another chunk of time to veg out I'll look the last few up! Haven't found a jazz channel on the streamer I could listen to for a long time yet, the R&R channels are easy for me to find.

  20. Here is a tip for making a great steak. Put your 12 inch or bigger skillet based on steak size in the oven at 425 or so. Warm it up for 20 to 25 mins at 425 degrees then put broiler on high and let broiler get hot with skillet still in oven.. Now open oven throw steak in skillet and cook both side at the same time. It won't take but a few mins and you will have to figure out the time based on how well done you like it. After pulling you can put a slice of butter on top if you like and let rest of bit if you like or if you like it super hot heck just go for it ., I just use course salt and course pepper and let steak warm up 20 to 30 mins on counter before sticking in oven. It will get little smokey so turn off fire alarms or use fans 😎!

  29. No, depends comes into play when you can't keep doing what you've been doing because you're older and you can't stop the leaky faucet, so you wear depends, I'm not saying you where depends, you're just freshly retired. Hope you have a great weekend Jim!

  30. Well, that’s pretty poor customer service. The last time I dealt with Knukonceptz, it appeared to be a one-man operation based in a barn on a rural road (I looked for and found it on Google Earth). The guy seemed pleasant enough, so this response surprises me. It looks like that company sometimes takes a look at the postings here on the Forum, so they should realize that they have some fans here, plus a neutral or better reputation. It does not serve them well to mock a customer’s speakers or behave in any other unprofessional manner. Take a hint, Dan. Word of mouth is the best and least expensive form of advertising. A few dollars spent making one customer happy will be repaid by gaining more new customers, while a few dollars saved, added to rudeness, could cost you much more than the price of a length of speaker cable.

  46. Wallenford and Jamaica Coffee Roasters have mailing addresses actually on the island, I've only bought it from amazon recently when they started running out of Marley's. Yea it was that Marley, Bob's family, their blend was even great and I bought those three pound bags from amazon for $39.99 until they were out of them. They had a blue bag with the 100% for $50.00/lb. Bob's kids ran that company into the ground...... it's a shame. Twenty years ago I could get JBM at the BJs on Merritt Island for the same price as the other coffees? Glad I dig the good ol Colombian still, it's affordable for the quantity that I need here! Drinking some now that's "honey process" no honey involved just cured naturally without washing. The mucilage isn't scrubbed off and the flavor is mellowed without being weak. What I'm drinking looks like the black honey version at this blog, broke out the immersion brewer for this stuff last weekend. http://blog.seattlecoffeeworks.com/roastery/earth-honey-process/

  47. Well, it came and it is slightly different, the sides are not as deep as advertised but still great for what I wanted it for and it's built well and heavy. It will go great with the others, I am a little surprised how well it's made and seasoned, it's only the second Lodge I have and I will not hesitate to get more if it's a size I need. It's in the oven now for the second time today adding a little more seasoning to what looked like a really good start from the factory. .

  48. ***OLD Thread Topped*** 1980 La Scala (THANK YOU to Forum Member snailtrax!!!) Went over to his place, "Down in Louisiana, Louisiana - Land of Creole Sues, Patois, Mardi Gras and romantic blues", Sunday & picked these up, after a nice listen to these & other gear. Serial numbers check out to 1980. Previous owner had stained the original BR finish to a nice dark reddish brown, with clear lacquer and had installed Bob Crites Sonicaps on the Type AA Crossovers. Mid Horns are K-55V & Tweeter K-77M. Have NO plans to change or repair anything working properly, for now, or run them on Tube Amps I don't own, nor play records on a Turntable I lost in 1990 & am not looking for, please don't take offense; it took me somewhere around 30 years to get over the fact that they are butt ugly....but, this set has had some nice make-up, including a Factory Top Grille...wish it were full length (but my wife sez the cats would play hell with that) & CANE (yes, I understand CANE was not a factory option, but I won't get rid of the original). Haven't really cleaned them up or gently tightened screws, although they seem to be pretty clean, have both original SN labels intact. Have, however listened to the Shiite Moslem out of them & when I didn't have JURY Duty, as I did Monday, Tuesday & ALL DAY Wednesday, working them out, even to late & odd hours. They are being driven, by a Denon AVR-3312CI AVR, using Monster Cable from circa 1991, when I bought my original kg1 & Klipsch dealers were pushing this type wire (as was Klipsch, at least in the Owner's Manual, I still have mine) other gear in my sig-tag. I have listened to them with Dolby Pro Logic II Music (5 Heresy II), RW-12d & km-rsw, Direct, Pure Direct, MULTI CHANNEL STEREO, STEREO with and without SWs. Like them best in STEREO, 2.2 & take back all I ever said about 2 channel audio; at least until I get more La Scalas, Klipschorns &/or Belles. For movies, they are wonderful in all forms of Lossless, I hear details on movies I never heard, and the Heresy II Center, circa 2001, keeps up effortlessly (until I can replace it with a La Scala, or similar). Don't have many pics just yet, but will attempt to attach a few. Last 3 are from Bill BEFORE we loaded them in the trunk of my car. First 1 is while they were in my trunk. Have another but can't get it to post.
