Well, I checked everything, and gave it a good clean too, and I think there's nothing wrong with the needle etc. I'm currently listening to Talk Talk's It's my Life on vinyl, and it sounds just fine! So I think the mixing/mastering of the vinyl record of Hotel California is quite different compared to what Spotify is streaming (a re-master?).4 points

Who has the choice , is spoiled for choice . I would also like to post more here , almost 1000 CD's I own. My SACD player is unfortunately hardly in operation although he sounds ingenious. But I'm still addicted to vinyl fever because my TT sounds just as ingenious. Good to have both media2 points

Thank @dirtmudd Garrard 401 😍 I immediately recognized the tray stroboscopic of the 401 And then rummaging on the net I found the complete composition of his Hifi system https://www.facebook.com/1494806090596307/posts/jimi-hendrix-audio-equipment-circa-196667-in-his-london-flat-his-record-collecti/1870652716344974/ ☺️2 points

Good Morning Melo , if the channel seperation isn´t correct you need to re-align the Azymuth balance from the whole cartrige at the position where it is fixed in your tangend arm, it must be very well balanced . Another option is that the needle slot doesn´t fit perfect into the cartridge. Or you may check the cable connections from the pick up . Have a look at these three possible option.2 points

I figured. However! If someone cares to contribute any bits and pieces of the puzzle, I will gather the facts as they come in. Any advice or info will be greatly appreciated1 point

I was the highest bidder at $250.00 until then. I won't bid again until the last day, of coarse that depends what the highest bid is.1 point

I really enjoyed the Kpt-415’s. They really sound nice, but I’ve been sold on horn loaded bass ever since my La Scala’s. I’ve never heard Jubilee’s, but I think you would be hard pressed to find better bass than MWM’s.1 point

YOWZER! Man I wish. I would love to put these outside my daylight basement and ROCK the neighborhood! GLWYS. I remember posting when you were selling the KPT-415s what your other sys. might be? Now we know1 point

Not really a song but maybe a decent deal? They closed at $870 which after fees and taxes will be about $1,100.1 point

Yes that guy was so bad even Audiogon finally ran him off. MachinaDynamica.com for those of you wondering about telepathic tweaks.1 point

Yes George, been seeing variations on that theme. Creative and passive. Cool enough...1 point

Hate to do this again but this character was just BIG! I mean with the Colts and then to win the SB with Baltimore. Chatted with him for just a minute about Ma'ake Kemoeatu when he was doing the sidelines for fox at a Panthers game long ago. Great guy, gone too early!1 point

Anyone starting down the Klipsch rabbit hole and not knowing where it all ends? This will be the one you regret letting go.1 point

Eliminate the cryo breaker. Eliminate the audiphile socket and line cord. Run everything off of DC. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/165417-just-laughing-outloud-at-this-high-end-nonsense/&do=findComment&comment=20479251 point

isn't that one of Murphy's Laws there is one person, in this place, that knows what is going on... they must be fired Good Morning all. Didn't do anything exciting yesterday. Took the Sony AVR out of the doghouse system and put the Yamaha back in... I know...it's been a couple days that I had it home. No reason to be in the doghouse. Wife is out of town. I get to listen to the home system... when I like, w/i reason. Found a couple CDs at the WhiteElephant the other day. Steve Winwood Roll With it Jethro Tull Benefit Black Crows Spent a total of $4. I had to apologize to the cashier. All I had for cash was a $100 bill and wiped out their drawer 20 min after they opened. Oh well! They had a bunch of Toad the Wet Sprocket CDs... but, even for $1ea, I didn't buy any. I will take a chance on things I've never heard. Not this time1 point

nope , you cant , the masonite grille boards are toast - the only thing you can do is , very gently remove the cane fabric , wash it in a bath tub with WOOLITE , let it dry , if it's better ,re-use it , buy some masonite board and redo 2 backing boards by outlining on a flat surface a template with the old boards .1 point

Recordings are all over the map with their mastering. A “best of” compilation from several different albums will drive you mad (er).1 point

Well, since you asked, it is a Yamaha Receiver, and the feature many Yamaha Receivers have is a remotely controlled Parametic Equalizer, that operates in the digital domain, so it is free of a lot of the bullshit inherent in an Analog Equalizer. The particular Yamaha Receiver I have is an older Yamaha TSR 7810. I remember sitting next to Mark Levinson at the Space Needle in Seattle back in 1981, we were all at Dinner. I asked Mark Levinson what was the ultimate speaker you could walk in a dealer and buy, and he shocked the hell out of all of us when he said "Klipschorns, but only if they are equalized". I know I will never be w/o a Parametric Equalizer again!1 point
