Getting more toys to do work around the house... Never thought I would own a tractor, but here we are.4 points

Be nice to be able to wait that long, once a month for what I have left growing above my eyes and ears!3 points

I have a day kinda planned for me. Round 2 of meat-cutting 101. Then I get to drive 50 miles. Wife rides the bus to school and I pick her up as she needs to do some things after it leaves. ... and it gets me out of the house. Haircuts... Mine is starting to get in my eyes after I buzzed it off. When it starts bothering me too much.... the clippers will come out. Might be a year or three.3 points

Well heck I did most of the S's and even cut the hair around my ears again. Only been a week since the haircut. Like I discovered when I moved to FL, I think the constant higher humidity make my hair and nails grow faster. Should snip them while it's warmer... it will be 50 today. I do them outside `cause I'd rather not spend time vacuuming/cleaning.3 points

@Dave1291 I think Nils might have aged worse than me since I met him briefly in the 80s w/Springsteen & Clarence. He's gotten even better on those strings though!3 points

After much wringing of fingers, a Moccamaster. Went with the 60oz CDT Grand since I work from home these days, we like to entertain, etc.3 points

getting a side of beef is cool. We have meat for a good while. No described cuts, though. Meat-cutting is a skill none of us have. We have chunks of meat. We are going to try to be a little more scientific when we get to the ribs cage/back. Wife made a roast last night. It was good and tender, too. Wife didn't eat the meat. She'd been wrappin/packing and didn't, really want to look at meat.... and that was just the hind leg.3 points

50 years and just a guy in the band. Nils Lofgren's out w/Springsteen now so might just have to catch it. Check him out w/Dire Straits in 1985...:) OR just check him out,.3 points

GoldNote M 9 Class D Mono Amplifiers with Hypex UCD 180 Modules that doesn´t suck on the switchmode power supply also available from Hypex but on a classic linear power supply. So the Italians are serious about the current and in the control of the UCD 180 they use instead of the usual op-amps a combination of two individual transistors that transmit the signals to the power stage with 200W/ 8Ohm3 points

I wouldn't try to high pass the LS IIs. Just let them roll off on their own. I run the low pass @ 40 hz with a 24 db/octave slope. This works well in my room. If I run the xover up to 50 hz, I get a nasty dip at 60 hz.2 points

Yea, got my flannel pj bottoms on and a t-shirt. I'm not even seeing any donuts OR cake??? My coffee's good though. Some party! Throw a box of Mr. Bubble in that tub and get back to us Chuckie! 😂 How many derelicts can you get in that hot tub anyway???2 points

I think you are mistaken, the HSU ULS-15 II has both high and low level connections. I am running two with my LS IIs to great effect. If you use the high level inputs on the sub, just tap onto whatever connections you are using for the main speakers. So the + and - of the left channel go to to the high level inputs on the left sub, and the same for the right channel to the right sub. I really wish you had a line out on that integrated because I would suggest this: https://www.dspeaker.com/anti-mode-8033 The best 400.00 I've spent on my system. Unless you have the perfect room, this little dsp calibration device will work wonders with integrating the subs with your main speakers. After trying this, I wouldn't run subs without one.2 points

I traded in my McIntosh hybrid integrated MA252 after hearing the EVO400. The EVO400 was the first all tube amp I had ever listened to and I was hooked. I have no idea if there might be better all tube integrated amps out there. I’m always curious about other amps but not enough to spend my hard earned $$$$ to compare other amps. I am certain there are many great audio products I will never get to hear in my space with my systems gear. I also assume there could be a better sounding amp than my EVO400. I will just let others scratch that Itch and enjoy their curiosity being satisfied. I’d like to read their findings. Meanwhile I’ll enjoy the music coming thru my Forte IVs and the evo4002 points

Usually see a pair for sale locally maybe once a year on average? Gotta be quick though if the price is reasonable there's a lot of flippers here on the prowl.2 points

@Schroedinger, if you think you can sell the Cornwalls for what you paid, should you not care for them, it’s just your time that you’re out. And you will always wonder “what if” if you don’t try them.2 points

You are welcome. Get the Cornwalls; you will not be sorry. To me (and I own all 3): Klipschorns>Cornwalls>>>Heresys2 points

I have both. The Cornwalls will sound bigger, more powerful, and more live even at lower volumes. As much as I like my Herseys, there is really no comparison, especially in a big room.2 points

Every marketing guy dreams of good product ideas and of achieving emotional synergies from brand partnerships. Successful examples are e.g. watch brands like Jaeger Lecoultre with Aston Martin watches (Amvox) or Omega Speedmaster with the Apollo Program, even McDonalds McFlurry® with M&M'S® Candies or car brands with Carhifi partners with well known names (Klipsch here BTW?..it's given away, imagine "BMW M Series with "Ultrasonic Klipsch Sound System". I really like this new Legends Series Klipsch&Mclaren! https://www.klipsch.com/klipsch-mclaren-legends The idea is well staged, the design of the speakers is very very successful from my point of view. Here meet two emotional worlds that complement each other perfectly (Maybe also because I have besides audio my little Lotus and Morgan as another great hobby). I love this McLaren Papaya color with black. By the way, now while writing I just remembered...why Klipsch does not start with a sound system for the McLaren consumer road cars? This new campaign has given me an idea...what do you think? I could paint the K402 of my UG Jubilees in McLaren Papaya. They are really a bit drab in black, it could look really good. Due to the size of the K402, it would lend itself aesthetically, after all, it wouldn't just be a splash of color. Don't worry about trademark rights, they are just my private speakers that no one else sees. Or I take Lotus original mustard yellow as in their logo. @Travis In AustinDo I remember correctly that 14 years ago you also wanted to paint your K402 with automotive paint? Somehow that was a memory and actually I thought it was a very good idea back then. Maybe it's a way if I make my UG Jubilee even more colorful and bold, because subtle they are not and they never will be. The Heritage Jubilee takes a different successful route and enhances its optical impression with natural high quality finish and a different shape.1 point

The last of my tube amps that I have been very hesitant to sell. Made by Vlad Bazelkov in Minnesota, these are by no means "your fathers" single ended amplifiers. These are the second set of these I've owned along with owning the 6c33c powered monos three times. This model, using this tube, is currently out of production; Audio Mirror makes only the 6c33c model selling for $5000/pr. Powered by parallel 6as7's producing 20 watts per channel in single ended. Self bias. These are a premium build using German Mundorf caps. Massive transformers, same as used in Vlads 6c33c powered monos, each block weighs 29 lbs. Will absolutely bring out any and all possible bass in your LaScallaa and sound terrific with all Heritage models I've owned. Huge soundstage, think single ended on steroids. Dead quiet, head in the 402 quiet, this being at my home, my local power. On Saturday the amps went through a thorough inspection by an extremely knowledgeable local tech I use and are in perfect electrical condition. All stainless steel chassis are dent free, maybe a small micro scratch here and there and are amazing to behold. I have original boxes and inserts for safe shipping. At my asking I will include - (as seen in the photo) A lifetime supply of power tubes, all Russian and US, no Chinese tubes. 12x - 6h5c OTK Russian power tubes (6as7 equivalent) 5x - RCA JAN 6as7 power tubes 4x - RCA 6080 small bottle equivalent to 6as7 2x - Sylvania 6sn7GT 2x - Tung Sol Russian 6sl7 2x - 6h9c Russian OTK (6sl7 equivalent) I could go on and on however if truly interested PM for a phone call. Additional photos will be emailed on request. Thanks1 point

I start my PrimaLuna EVO 400 every morning after a cup of coffee and shut it down around 4 or 5 and watch TV. After it’s off I wonder what another amp would sound like, cruising the used adds or auctions on EBay…every morning after the EVO 400 warms up even with the stock tubes that urge goes away…1 point

Just as long as you know what powered subs sizes and compatible amps. Looking to the members here for good advice for you and your room.1 point

Was asking if overkill that is why the question of 18s instead of 15s, where 1 is likely enough for the room you have shown, unless it is larger than I I remember.1 point

I'd start at 6. I don't have your kind of money! 😂 Could hit 8 though but doubtful. 5 pair sittin here I don't play as much as I should. Believe that? lol1 point

The GSG guys are recommending 21's! But I wanted to do the 18 cubes to keep the height under my screen1 point

That is the orientation I have found to be the best, although at times I have only had the room to stack them which also sounded good. Nice looking setup jjptkd1 point

I believe @MMurg is correct the KSP-S6 is probably going to be the best voice match but @TasDom is also correct the RS-7 is the "better" speaker by a lot IMO but it's rather large. I've had both at the same time and the 7's have a larger, clearer sound as the horns are significantly larger.1 point

By the way, welcome to the forum; we are glad to have you here!1 point

If it is Klipsch wide dispersion surround speakers under discussion here and if they were current product at around the same time as the Legend (KLF) Series, then my guess is that they were KSP-S6 (https://www.klipsch.com/products/ksp-s6-surround-speaker). These were the recommended surround speakers for the Legend Series and were some of the best surrounds that Klipsch ever made. There were even sold in the cinema line for a time. If you want these exact speakers, then you will have to find them on the used market. They do come up for sale used with some regularity. I used a HiFi Shark saved search to find them when I was looking for some a while back. There is one pair available on eBay right now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/165914742505. The seller has the wrong model designation in the listing title. I messaged him to correct it. If you want current product with a warranty, then look at the Klipsch Reference Premier surround speakers.1 point

You guys aren’t going to believe this… I have a pair of Realistic Nova 9s in my basement that I was just about to donate to a co-worker for a vintage system. I am in the process of sending him the archive photo from the ‘73 (!) catalogue and lo and behold. …someone stuck a Klipsch logo on it for clout, lol1 point

Sorry to hear health issue(s) predicates sale. I’m inclined to believe selling individual pieces will see quicker returns. Those are well regarded pieces on their own and the majority will want to add a piece here and there, not an entire rig.1 point

We are on page 3 (almost on page 2 now) on the waiting list at Decware. We have a 1996 pair of ChorusII's to check this out with. Not many outfits making tube gear, especially in the states that come even close to what we could afford. I'll send a note when it arrives (sometime in summer) ..If I am still above the ground that is....😉 Take care all ~Mike1 point
