Ceptorman
I noticed Walmart had their Christmas stuff out about a month ago, which is insanely early, when do you put up your tree or decorate? We usually decorate right after Thanksgiving. Sometimes I'll decorate earlier, but won't light anything up till after TG.

richieb
Costco and the like had their Christmas tress, decorations, etc. displayed right before Halloween. Which is why the "Holidays" leave me a bit jaded. And now the infamous Black Friday has been extended to damn near Black November. Basically Christmas has become a two and a half month sales blitz. Happy Holidays Everyone !!!

Moderators dtel Posted November 21, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 21, 2017 Whenever the wife decides to do it, her birthday is Christmas day, but it's usually after TG.
rplace
Never, last set of pictures I have with a tree is 2009 or there about. Got tired of the whole production and the better half agreed. We snuggle up with all 7.1 of our favorite Klipsch speakers and watch It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas eve, drink too much eggnog, sleep in on the big day then eat, drink and be merry. Yes we have no kids

Pretty much everything we've done over the years as far as decorations go has been for the chillins.

Good move. I see why that is her name now. I have a nice named Christy, her birthday is on Easter.

YK Thom
Not exactly the same but sort of parallel...bring out our few items about one week out, including an old crystal menorah we have had for years, get it nice and shined up and remove any left over wax.We hang a few things and start the season by playing our favourite Hanukkah CDs and sipping wine or a little scotch.

rplace
The problem with the fur kids is they are perpetually 4 years old. Everyday is Christmas for these two.
Thaddeus Smith
I start bringing out the containers of Christmas decorations for my wife on black Friday. Everything is usually put back away before new year's eve.
