Thaddeus Smith
Yeah, tell that to my 8yr old. We've been very transparent with both girls about what's going on, and they get it, but it still sucks. Hopefully a birthday dinner of favorites (steak, bacon, doritos) will help.

Deang
I think it's time to move past the meme stage. 20-25% of infected end up in the ICU feeling like they are drowning. 5-7% of those die. It has a R0 of between 1.4 and 4.08, so it's more contagious than the flu. Asymptomatic Transmission and Aerosolization: We hear about "staying away from sick people". Well, okay. How about staying away from the people who aren't "sick". I'm a Network Engineer for the DOD. So, no, I'm not an immunologist or MD, but I do read a lot, and it surprises me how little is said about asymptomatic transmission and aerosolization. In short, a person can exhibit no symptoms whatsoever, yet their throat is loaded with this stuff. If they are within 3 feet of you, you are at risk. New data shows that it's just not "the old" who are being affected. People in their 30's with certain conditions and in their 40's are being hit. https://www.cnbc.com/…/who-considers-airborne-precautions-f… https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2004973 https://www.nih.gov/…/news-releases/new-coronavirus-stable-… https://www.medrxiv.org/…/10…/2020.03.09.20033217v1.full.pdf (lines 96-100)

Deang
Nothing definitive on zinc, however, there is quite a bit on vitamin D3. 2000-3000 IU every day.
