    • Yes, Roy demoed both configurations at the recent class.  Go back to the first post in this thread.
    • Was sitting on my back patio with the days first caffeine and a book (oddly enough, “The Origin of Species”) when I saw a small white feather wafting towards the ground from the 60 foot mesquite tree. I thought it was an odd tree for the doves to nest in, so I got up for a closer look. Turns out a hawk was roosting about 25-30 feet up, chowing on a dove. I played Marlin Perkins and got my wife to watch.    Our presence threw him off his game and he dropped the carcass to the ground. Being a bold (and hungry) raptor, he followed it, stood guard, then gathered the fruits of his labors and decamped north, to quieter environs.
    • And do you have heard both type of speakers?  Active and the passive version?
    • Post some pic's.  Congrats on the build.
    • So awesome.  I used a miniDSP 2x4HD to tune my THTs and to blend them with my Heresys and the transition between them is incredible.  Perfectly crossed over and the THTs provide low end that will levitate you off the couch if you want.
    • I finally found a store in the next county that had the whole Sumatra beans I normally use for coffee. I’ve been out since the first week of October after Helene came through. It’s sounding as though it will be another six months or so before they have the grocery store down the street from my house rebuilt and ready to open.   I’ve been in the studio with band number one recording the bass tracks for some songs we are going to use for some promotional videos.   band number two is a rockabilly act and we have a gig opening a show on Black Friday down at Burger Bar(no burgers all bar) in Asheville. It should be a good way to wake people up from their turkey induced coma.
    • That’s an Interesting review , thanks  . I look forward to hearing a set someday. like you , I  like to listen  to a speaker very thoroughly when evaluating , a few weeks or so . In that amount of time , I’ll understand the pros and cons .🤓
    • I had the older version of the Promedia 2.1 BT. They sounded awesome! I'm a professional bass player and have to learn and listen to all types of music. Unfortunately, the satellite speakers no longer work. I decided to give the THX version a try. First thing I noticed was the woofer weighed half the weight as mine.  When I plugged them in, I was extremely disappointed. The speakers sounded thin with not a lot of mids, and the woofer didn't come close to the BT version.  Why is this?  I also noticed that I had to turn up the volume on the woofer to around 8 in order to match what was once around 3 on my older woofer. I quickly sent them back to Amazon.  Anyone else have this problem? I'm thinking of getting the Heritage 2.1 but there's a lot of bad comments about them, regarding a hiss, and the auto timed shut off.  But I'm thinking the R-40PM's for better bass response.    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.   Rob
    • Roy's original intention was DSP only.  However, others thought it might hurt sales to require tramping.  So, Roy did passive networks as well.   However, in my opinion, using the new La Scala with the passive networks would be a colossal mistake.  The passive and active configurations don't even sound like the same speakers.  The triamp DSP configuration is far better sounding.  It's not even close.  I imagine this will be the same with the new Klipschorn.
