what a disappointment it was too. I was really excited to see what they were bringing. Just a newer PC-12nsd. Nothing special at all if you ask me. And the 50$ charge for the gloss cap!!! Are you kidding me. I agree its not even worth keeping that a secret if you ask me. I will say I do like the look of it over the other PC style they use. I have never really liked how those looked . But I do like the look of the new pc-2000 better.3 points

i saw Heidi Klum at Disneyland … we both were at the Dumbo elephant ride at the same time. True Story. I drooled on the keyboard just thinking about that. I've always had a thing for elephants.2 points

i will check that out after work...read something once that he or Plant was mad because of the criticism about the song having to do with the devil. He said the song has nothing to do with evil. saw a tv show one time where some guy was playing tapes backwards...he played Stairway, stuff was there; but, was i duped by the show, was the band duped by an engineer. i've no idea. whilst not backwards masking, i recall Brian May of Queen asking the engineer for a tape of one of the songs backwards (Tie Your Mother Down possibly) he said, "I'll go home and learn it backwards." Of course, when he played it, it was him playing the chords in reverse order not some clever engineering trick. I don't care what anyone says. If you don't like that song you seem suspiciously evil to me.2 points

Thank you all for your kind words. It really was a big deal for me. When I was pledgeing my allegiance, I started to get choked-up toward the end (yeh I am a bad a** with feelings) :-) Even the great response You all gave to this thread gets to me. I was thinking I would get a few thumbs-up. Thanks again.... To the couple of members that wanted to know what kind of shop I have. My wife and I own a auto repair shop. I specialize in Honda/Acura cars. It's just me and the wife no other mechanics. Millcreekmotorworks.com If you go to my profile there is a link there Take care all.... Mark.....2 points

Worse criticism comes from the people who say the intro is a rip off of another bands song. I never heard it personally. To me it's like the similarities of any genre of its day.2 points

So today I became a U.S. Citizen. My wife and I closed the shop for the day. We went downtown, I took my Citizenship test and got sworn in. It was a long day but well worth it. My parents immigrated from England in 1968, they drug me with em. I was 5 years old at the time. I have a vague memory of being at the U.S. embassy yelling" I don't want a visa, I don't want a visa". lol lol That was a long time ago. A lot of people think that even though I served in the U.S. Army and married a U.S. Citizen that would make me a Citizen. Not so. But that's OK cuz, I took my test and passed. I raised my right hand and pledged my allegiance to this country. Oh yea it was a good day to become an American :-)1 point

This year's game between OU and Texas is playing second fiddle to the game between to religious based colleges in Texas - TCU vs. Baylor. Never imagined that in a million years.1 point

The La Scala vibration issue mentioned is very real. Some feel the sidewalls vibrate, others the dog house walls. Whatever is vibrating, the braces between the sidewalls and the dog house in the speakers shown in the attachments stopped an annoying artifact ("buzz" or ""rattle") that was clearly present at high SPLs. It was even more annoying at high speeds. :-)) Yes, IMO, Belle is the prettiest speaker Klipsch, or any other company, ever made.1 point

solid choice buddy... when I received my classic, I could not believe how unbelievably large and heavy the unit is... I doubt I will ever sell mine and it's not even up and running yet. my Rega P5, while completely hotrodded and nice to listen to, is a bit of a joke in comparison to the classic VPI. perhaps joke is a bad term, but it certainly is in a different league.1 point

I did just the opposite going from an old Denon receiver to Marantz separates for HT and am very happy with the results. I don't think the real point was going from a receiver to separates, or adding power, but rather from mediocre to really good sound in better components. I'd want to hear the results of installing the new receiver before making a final decision. I haven't heard any Emotiva products (just read various comments, some good and some not so good) but perhaps their return policy will give you time to have an in-home audition of the new receiver. Since you now have Emotiva, perhaps you could also do some comparisons with other brands. Good luck.1 point

To clarify above, by 'listen to them' I do not mean bring them home & crank things up. I mean listen to them at sellers house, making sure all drivers work.1 point

Just trying to encourage people to buy locally if possible and reduce any risks as I can demo the Integra and the buyer can give cash instead of paypal. Other than that shipping is not much of a concern as I have the boxes and packages ready for it. -Sen1 point

He said in the text: Local pick up is preferred in Nashville TN, however, I will transport them to the nearest UPS store and help make arrangements to ship them to the winning bidder. Good catch. I just looked at the ebay listed delivery option.1 point

i'd have them doing commercials showing them after a game maybe saying, "i don't always get my way on the field; but, I always get my way after the game." Then he grabs some klipsch headphones. That doesn't mention bose; but, tells the viewer that he doesn't get klipsch until he's off work. It will also make people wonder what the nfl uses--when they find out bose, many will wonder "Is Klipsch better than Bose?" Now, the seed is planted...1 point

Local pick up only. The III's are a really nice sounding speaker. I kind of have a pair................I have the H2 cabinets and H3 parts installed.1 point

that's very good deal for someone here to jump on. Given some of the stupid prices I see Heresy and Heresy ll go for these H3 with all titanium diaphragms and the most sophisticated crossovers of the series this is very good value. Good luck to the fellow member who might get these (I have two sets). Best regards Moray James.1 point

In order to help your sale, I would definitely recommend better, clearer photos of all sides. You may also want to thoroughly dust all surfaces, and then wipe them down with an appropriate furniture polish. Makes a big difference. Good luck.1 point

I thought babies liked candy? My point was if he has not contacted the seller, to do so just to inquire on his asking price. It may be way above his budget, but then again, it may be within reach. You never know unless you ask.1 point

Ticks and pops are so inconsequential with a good rig, so that's a moot point now if you ask me. It really comes down to what you prefer listening to. For me, vinyl just sucks me in and compels me to sit in the sweet spot to listen. Digital has never made me feel that way. YMMV... Mike1 point

As the marketing guru Jack Trout once famously said " If your assigment is to change peoples minds, don't accept the assignment" I get your point, but now get mine. Analogue guys are far from absolutists, sticking with the party line while heads roll at the Kremlin. Far from it. I, like almost everyone here, abandoned vinyls for cd's in the 80's. I and many others, when we got a bit older, and started crafting better systems, dipped our toes back into analogue, and realized, very belatedly that we had run from a good thing. I would posit that there is not a vinyls guy here that doesn't have a closet full of cd's. And, here's another point, many of what you think are nostalgia throwbacks have some of the best systems available in audio today, mostly crafted around horns. They have devoted years of their lives to the pursuit of what is much more than a mere hobby, and realize that analogue is heck-of-a-way to go. Don't forget that many of us dinosaurs also share with you the idea that Heritage speakers are still cutting edge and not simple nostalgia.1 point
