The quick answer is "no" you will not get 200% better bass, or even 200% more bass. A second sub has a little more bass output, not double. A second sub accomplishes two things. The most important is that the second sub will even out nulls and peaks in the bass response. There will be fewer spots where the bass is greatly diminished, and the "one note" thumping is diminished. In terms of output a second sub adds 3 db to the peak SPL. +++ Edit: "Is is worth the extra money?" The majority opinion is "yes" a second sub is important to good overall bass response. I am in the minority, I am happy with my single 15" sub. I listen to mostly Youtube vids through the computer in 2.1, and in a small room. My living room setup is 3.0 and at one time I had a 15" sub and a 12" sub in a 5.2 setup. I was advised to lose the 12" sub, which I did. I thought the 5.1 setup sounded good, and about the same as with the dual subs but I sat in the MLP most of the time. My wife sits in the null.3 points

my dad was Italian spaghetti day required us to drink a little glass of wine. Same reaction BSM I won't tell you that we have had a skunk living under the porch. It came in the house. We have a "cat door"... one tiger, one orange, one black and white, two tiger, 2 black and white .... "Honey, did we get another black and white cat?" "No" and carefully herd it back out .... twice trapped and transplanted him. He was OK, except when he would come home after a hard night. I transplanted a half dozen coons to the lake. Had to fence the javelina out...3 points

Actually last night, not today - a great Jazz show at the local college. Matt Otto Quintet. Sax, trombone, standup bass, piano, drums. No amplification or flying arrays as they use in a adjacent larger auditorium. Not only a great show but an honest way to see how the home rig sounds vs. live "acoustic" music. All in all I don't I'm fairing too bad; tone and texture from the horns is damn close, drum kit/cymbals has the right shimmer, bass is spot on and as difficult as piano is to replicate is toneally true. I'm breaking in a new Pass Labs Class A amp that only has about 48 hrs burn in but she is coming along. Tone and texture is "real" and the jump from horns and rim shots are well duplicated. Both the vendor and a message from NP urged me to let things settle in before coming to conclusions on what I have. So far, so pretty damn good ---2 points

no BSM I'm the hillbilly here. We have the outhouse shingled with old license plates. An evaporative cooling refrigerator, house that is/was a travel trailer. "our home is mobile and truck is not" The guys at TableRockLake did make me feel kinda sophisticated. They were fishing for suckers.2 points

Wattage rating isn't what KILLS speakers dubs, dirty wattage is! As long as you are keeping the amplifier out of Clipping, you shouldn't have any problems. A friend of mine is putting 535 watts per channel into Klipschorns and La Scalas, and they are rated at 100 watts per channel. On the reverse side of the coin, 100 watts of clipping can definately blow your speakers. I personally ran 250 watts per channel for better than a Decade without any problems, but it is a really good, clean amp! Roger2 points

It sounds like you need more capable speakers for what your trying to do, want bigger louder with more bass, your asking alot out of that model. It should do loud but if you have the bass at +8 you have the wrong speakers, or get a good sub and back off those settings. I vote for returning if you can and get a more powerful speaker. @teaman "No soup for you.........2 weeks". I do agree that it'd be easier, as a Buyer, to delve deeper or simply dismiss these tidbits IF prices were clearly stated. Smells like a PM auction, but could also be a means to "use" the forum knowledge and interest level as an appraisal service. Whatever works for the parties involved, but in the past prices were mandatory here. All the best with your sale(s).2 points

You are right. He is a rescue. Unfortunately, I don't get to keep him for long, he's a foster furkid. I lost my 15 year old rocker Kelpie last Friday, and when I saw this guy come up in our rescue group, I offered to house him until his new owner comes along. Thanks @dirtmudd. When the dumb-dumbs ins comes to an agreeable figure, I'll start looking again. Last time I looked at that one was months ago when it was a topic at one of the threads here. Waiting for the codeine to work so I can finish the yard, eating the steering wheel is no fun. But I've got things to do and I'm two days behind already feel a little like a powerslave.2 points

I live on one of the busiest residential streets in town. I must have jumped up about 50 times today every time I heard a truck go by. 🚚 And it's finally here! I'm going to go run a couple errands while it warms up from the Minnesota winter temps and fire it up a little later this evening.1 point

The B&C 120 retains the Klipsch sonic signature without the shrill quality of the K-77. I would be really bummed if they dropped this driver from their lineup.1 point

I definitely thought the tweeters were less harsh after the dampening, less rattle from the speaker boxes because they were stiffer. After the Crites refresh of the crossovers, the speakers seemed to have more clarity. The improvements weren't drastic but noticeable for sure. For me the harshness in the tweeters was most irritating.1 point

House on a slab or crawl space? I replace all copper with PEX. If you cut it and feel it is too close to solder, use Shark fittings instead. I have never had a problem with this type of fitting.1 point

Our income levels are so different, that a lot of what I have to say doesn't relate. we live simple. I can offer two bits of advice that relate to all Don't work yourself to death preparing for retirement AND do not "retire" yourself to death, when you do retire. Keep busy.1 point

Sorry guys, I've been off the grid. I am uncertain if I can snag these, but i could hold them in a climate controlled garage until Thebes and get them. I'm in Tue middle of a move, so I'm just not sure if I could be the guy who picks up the speakers. PM me if the speakers need to be stored in Oak Creek, WI for a period of time. I will also offer to hold them at my house if needed. They can hang with my Lascalas and Fortes. I’m only 30 minutes west of NW Indiana in Naperville, IL.1 point

Does it work well on its own? Or will you need a sub (espresso) to enjoy de full effect? Sometimes I bi-amp (Colombian and Guatemalan) or tri-amp. (Add French Roast) Tubes (French press) or SS (drip system)?1 point

Indeed. 16 x 9. It'll fit inside NP. Just have to figure how I want to external mount. Give me more cabinet air volume inside w/o xover and minimal vibration. ..will post pics as I go.1 point
