  7. ....and that tonearm is ON FIRE Paul !! Hello everyone, been visiting my folks nearly 900 miles from my home, an annual 'vacation', and hit their 'to do' list during my stay. So, for the first time in a couple of weeks, back in the Longfellow Music Hall on this LAZY Labour Day weekend to spin a bit of vinyl before a deck dinner party here for my neighbors later this evening. A sunny and HOT afternoon, but the Hall is always atmospheric no matter the time of day. Here then, from the movie soundtrack on 180 GOLD METALIC vinyl. Tubes and Horns for this one. Rear cover....

  13. I have a fascination with the history in the 3 centuries surrounding 70 CE and how it relates to the Dead Sea Scrolls. I started a few months ago reading the Bible again using the 2 commentaries above and comparing. The "Harper Collins Study Bible" on the left is more scholarly oriented and I got for my birthday in June, while the "Jeremiah Study Bible" was given to me by a friend/student as a gift and has more of a sermon point of view. Ironically, both at the same time and not knowing about the other.

  14. Those look like the caps that Bob C. Used for a while when recapping crossovers, or just the ones he recommended back in the day. They are probably OK, but you might want them gone over and made to Klipsch specs. Dean can do them to spec, with the correct spec parts. @Deang

  16. I always find it entertaining while reading through the many differing thoughts and opinions in some of these threads. My 2 cents about the passive comments of those being concerned about them not looking right... Well, the two times I really noticed my passive radiators on my Forte II's; 1) When I placed them in my system when I bought them 2) When I took them out of my system when I sold them I don't know how some of you are listening to your speakers with passive radiators, but sitting behind your speaker in a corner staring at the PR is not on my recommended list of ideal listening spots. Maybe you're on to something and I've been missing out? Just a though! Happy listening.

  19. https://www.discogs.com/release/9966636-Konami-Kukeiha-Club-Snatcher Life is sometimes funny... Back in 1994 I played a game on my Sega Genesis called "Snatcher". It´s a scifi story, with more than a lot of Terminator and Blade Runner feel, it was/ is a great game and that includes the soundtrack. I knew that the OST was out there, both on CD and vinyl, but way to expensive... Two weeks ago I was lucky, or not if you ask my wallet... There was a seller in Germany and I got the double LP Mint for under 100€. So I pulled the trigger. All in all I´m happy, and now I sit here in 2023, listening to the OST of a 1993 (digital) video game, on analog vinyl... Life is funny, isn´t it? (Gotta pull out that game CD again...!)

  23. Help, please. I feel crazy stupid. I am trying to set up a pair of Klipsch RP-8000F speakers with a Onkyo TX-RZ50 receiver. During the speakers set-up (using speaker 2.1 without a sub-woofer), I cannot get the test sound through the speakers. I am using generic 16-gauge wire. Is it the wire? I have re-wired the speakers and receivers several times. The surprise birthday present for my wife is not working out so well... Thanks. Bruce

  29. Why do that when you can use what Klipsch uses. Contact Jim at JEM Performance Audio and buy a kit. If you want me to do the work, I’ll do the pair for $215 parts and labor.

  42. Yes, H IVs run circles around H 1s (I had 7 at one time and still have 3 in my HT system). H IVs are much more natural sounding and better on vocals, especially. H IVs do not need a subwoofer, though open E on a double/electric bass is down a little compared to G, but not so much you might not think the song is recorded that way.
