    • I used to come here for the mods section as i am a Klipsch owner and hobbiest, but once they frowned on making/talking about mods on Klipsch speakers most of us moved to AudioKarma.   I only drop in here now to read the classified or tube section.   I felt kinda pushed out so i left.  I think they just wanted us to talk about how good their over priced speakers sound.   Pertaining to my earlier post, I just read where Stellantis Chrysler is going to cut prices by 35% on old inventory.  Maybe Klipsch should follow along here.    If Barra doesnt get off the EV train(100% EV by2035) and Ford off raising prices into 2025, they will be left behind.  Many including myself cant afford the new pricing on new vehicles.   They are just simply gouging.
    • Hopefully these answers will help you with your current situation… 1.  To begin with yes if you upgrade your center channel, it should improve your overall sound however, I’m currently running an RP250 C for my center channel and it seems fine, if I were you, I would go with a 504C based on the woofer sizes…. While I don’t completely agree. They do say that the center channel is the most important speaker in a home theater set up.  Opinions and preference will vary on the subject. 2.  yes, running RP 280s for your surround is probably overkill, however, if space is not an issue, they are probably fine and I do see people on here running five heresy’s for their set ups,  I am using RSX 5’s for my rear surrounds and they seem perfect with my RP 280fs…. 3.  I would not recommend the RS 52’s for Atmos speakers.  You will need a direct firing speaker, not a bipolar or dipole.  I’m using RSX fours hanging down from the ceiling for my Atmos and they are excellent. I think they’re far and away better than any in ceiling that I could get and I don’t have that option since I have a two-story home with my theater system being on the first floor… 4.  Don’t misunderstand my statement about overkill. It’s often best and easiest to simply use what you already have on hand and will save you money if it works for your situation.   Hope this help helps. I’m sure others will chimein.
    • Fwiw, the reason I still come to the Klipsch Forum on a now limited basis is because the company and Forum has changed. That's not a negative statement but a fact of life. I joined to ask questions and learn about Home Theater in 2000...   Thanks to @Amy, @Trey Cannon, and even Roy (can't remember his current screen name) made me feel like part of the Klipsch Family by what we were able to discuss in the (semi-private) BULLSHIT  Forum. I never met Paul Klipsch but from what I learned about him is that he'd love the conversations/debates that occured in there for almost 15 years!    Again, I'm sure Klipsch will go on as a company but this Forum is part of their Family Business legacy and it would be interesting to see it go on...Otoh, I can only get so excited about a speaker, regardless how awesome it is now unless someone wants to pay me. 😎 Lol. Hope everyone is doing well prior to the New Year.
    • I am on my second pair of CF4. I have not owned the Cornwall IV, so I haven't ABed them. A couple of thoughts: The CF4 is less sensitive, so it can't be a watt for watt race The caps in the CF4 might need to be refreshed to get the detailed sound that they should have The Cornwall's woofer is ~ 176"^2 and the CF4s' are ~ 226"^2, so fed enough watts, the CF4 should be louder 3,000 clams sounds high, but I'm not there Invite the seller over (with his offerings) to experience the Cornwall IV and you can all AB them.
    • I agree. I've been here since 2000 and understand the Forum has changed along with Klipsch Company dynamics. I absolutely love my dozen or so KLIPSCH speakers but am satisfied enough to feel the need to upgrade...Otoh, I feel Klipsch Corp has benefited from several/many of us giving back to the company (or Art as I like to think about it 😊) by giving our advice through experience...   In fact, we've come full circle: Folks come here to get Customer Service on other Klipsch products that aren't speaker related and I dont think anyone from Klipsch is reading them and THAT can't be good for the company. My 2 cents over morning coffee.
    • I really hope that's not the current criteria for judging how well Klipsch the brand is doing...IOW, the "Forum" concept may be what's archaic and Social Media is where it's at for them. As I reported earlier, AVSFORUM still gets alot of advice traffic, but the "Klipsch Owner's Thread" being on page 14 of their Speaker Forum and last comment being on Oct 28th (nothing over Christmas 😮) not a good sign. We both remember when it was one of the hottest threads over there.
    • I do think if they were to shut the forum down, the continuous flow of word of mouth residual sales would slow down considerably.  I know many of my Klipsch purchases, new and used, were prompted by forum member suggestions and good advice.   Bill
    • Yup.   I just added a post.
    • It seems the only thing we have to look forward too is our Klipsch speakers will be evaluated as antiques on the Antiques Road Show. JJK
