crackerboxpalace
2013, brand new pair of RF-62 II, followed quickly by 1980 Heresy and 1992 Forte II within a year. Yes, I'd love to add more.
Mighty Favog
Made a phone call to Uncle's Stereo in NYC to order some KLF20'S in mahogany. Very shortly afterwards they lost their "authorized dealer" status. Picked up four more pairs of K's since then.
wvu80
There is no selection for "never". The last choice at the end of every poll should be the ubiquitous "Other - explain."
mattSER
There are probably plenty of members who've never bought a brand new pair. My first pair was black RF-35s in Apr. 2014. I've since averaged more than one pair per month. My first and only NEW pair are my current RP-160m's that I bought on Black Friday 2015 in Manhattan. ricktate
I have had a price list on my closet door since 14. Met Paul Klipsch first time when 16 at a shop called Stereo Bug. I ordered my new LaScalas in 1980. Mind you that was working for about 80 bucks a week. Went to Hope in 1980 also. I still remember the day and the smell when they were delivered and set up in my house. Rick

billybobg
Bought new LaScalas in 1981. My first significant purchase after graduating from college. I still have them.
rummy
Bought my new Khorns in August 1978 for $1750 plus tax at Hillcrest HiFi across the street from Southern Methodist University. Still have and use them (and the receipt). Don't know if my health will hold up to make 40 years with them, if not, they will be for sale some day soon on this website probably. But I have loved every LP, cassette and CD on them.
ZEUS121996
I bought Khorns and Heresys new in 88 along with Nak TA-2A, CR-2A and CD-2A? My buddies owned the store so I got everything out the door for $7200. Gave up the Khorns in 91, sold the Heresys for 650+ shipping in 2013 and have added a couple too many pieces now Mark

TasDom
Bought a 5.0 Icon V series new in 2011. Shortly after that I discovered this forum. Got the upgrade bug very fast thereafter and bought RF7II / RC64II and RS52II new. Everything else (Klipsch) in my profile was found used on Craigslist over the last few years. jjptkd
Bought my first pair of Klipsch's (Forte II's) in 1995, they were used but purchased new by my late uncle. I've picked up probably 100 different pairs of various models since then but never bought anything "new" until about 4 or 5 years ago. cyclonecj
Bought a pair of La Scala's new in San Francisco in 79. When I got married I traded them down for a pair of Heresy's, but then bought new Belle's in 84. Sold the Heresy's to my brother-in-law who still has them today. JBCODD
Bought a pair of Heresy speakers in 1984 in Frankfurt, from another soldier. Then I got married and started breeding. The five kids are educated and moved out, so now I have my eye on a pair of Forte I.

LarryC
Bought all of mine used, the first one a single Model T around 1960. The current K-horns around 1982 as the third owner. Plenty of upgrades, however.
baron167
I purchased my first pair of Heresy II's in 1990 (i think!). 1984 Signature Editions OW Cane Grills. They are residing between my Klipschorns. My second pair of Heresy II's are between my La Scalas.
