Deang
If you haven't seen The Queen, it's worth a watch. I kind of stumbled into it a few years ago when there was nothing else worth watching. It swept the Oscars in 2007. 4

YK Thom
The end of an era, may G-d rest her soul. G-d save the King! I shook his Majesty King Charles III hand this past May when he and the now Queen Consort were in Yellowknife. 3
YK Thom
Cindy snapped this as he was almost in front of us. A aboriginal lady beside us had a sweet Husky puppy (who's paw His Majesty shook - BIG dog lover). He then shook both my and my wife's hand as he and Camilla made their way back to the official car. 3

sputnik
The last 75 years was one of the most consequential eras in world history and she was the only continuous, and universally popular, luminary throughout that time span that I can think of. 1
Shiva
Some interesting cloud formations on the day of the Queen's departure. Marvel
A double rainbow appeared over Buckingham Castle shortly before the Queen's passing was announced. 4 hours ago, sputnik said: The last 75 years was one of the most consequential eras in world history and she was the only continuous, and universally popular, luminary throughout that time span that I can think of. I remember in the days following 9/11, the world said 'today, we are all American!'... In many ways, today we could say, 'this day, we are all British!' 3

Dave1291
What a logistical nightmare this has to be even though I'm sure the planning started prior to her death. I slipped to Columbus to see EC Thursday evening. The first song he played when he walked out on the stage was an unrehearsed "God Save the Queen." It actually took about a minute for those in attendance to realize what and why he was playing it. When he was done the entire place gave him a standing ovation. THEN he had to do the show. She's always been a tough act to follow! Somber beginning then he brought out his A game! May she rest in peace.
