  8. I've heard them at Hope, very nice, the midrange just sounds correct, blues guitars and cymbals just sound nice and thick, there's no weird handoff from the horn to the woofer or any shrilly sound, it is voiced similar to the 396, bass extension is very nice, that passive radiator can really get to moving. They played some Stevie Ray and you just wanted to crank it.

  9. The black matte ones are cool as hell BTW. Going to be parked right next to my Jubilees. Might as well just print Roy's mug off and hang it up in the general area as well.

  10. 35+ years ago in the OC, after the working day was over, met up with a couple buds at the local Bar on the way home. One day wile downing the Norm Domestic brew, i noticed one of the guy's having something on the rocks. Ask him whats up? It's the Glen he said, and one of these make your feel like you have had three beers! So my first thought was i can get a buzz without being full for half price He stated it was an Acquired taste, but the benefits were, buzz with little to no hangover. Well hell, iv not had one domestic brew since. So the Glen was my first within a year the Levet was the next level. Blended was out for my lifetime. Now im dialed on taste, Highland / Lowland / speyside Cost is irrelevant these days.

  12. It's 1983 and the crack cocaine epidemic is in its infancy in Los Angeles. Ambitious Lucia -- the daughter of a Mexican crime lord who sells marijuana throughout the city -- sees the burgeoning cocaine business as a potential moneymaker, so she manipulates her family into entering the more dangerous and profitable territory than pot. Getting involved with the new drug is setting her on a violent collision course with the likes of Franklin, a young street entrepreneur on a quest for power, and former Mexican wrestler Gustavo, who is caught up in a power struggle within a crime family. Also getting involved in the cocaine trade is CIA operative Teddy, who is running from a dark past and begins an off-book operation to fund Nicaraguan Contras. Oscar-nominated director John Singleton ("Boyz N the Hood") co-created the drama series and says he drew inspiration from his own life for Franklin's story.

  13. Wooohoo!!! Been wanting a quality home theater set up for awhile. So I shuffled down to an estate sale and there were some electronics left over that didn't sell the prior weekend. Unfortunately, my excitement was tempered as the electricity was turned off in the house so anything that required a plug in was doa. The Estate sale guy could not get the home owner to turn it back on all week. With that, a few people left. Deals had to be cut as it was only 6 people in line at this "do over" sale even with everything half off. That trend would have continued. I perused the offerings and told the sales agent I'm good as he knows I like electronic items and without juice to test them I'm loathed to buy. He then made an offer I couldn't pass up WITH a guarantee that it worked. I was skeptical as my wife would kill me if I brought something home that didn't work. I'd be doa. So I took the plunge at $350 for the pair. Not knowing what to expect I hooked them up and immediately was smitten with them. As you all know these high powered amps and receivers are laid bare by the super efficient speakers. Wow. I'm duly impressed. Clean is the word I'd use to describe them much like my Marantz 2500. THANKFULLY it's in our bedroom which gave me the opportunity to throw the damn Integra receiver out the window. Could not stand the sound of that. Apologies in advance for the not so professional video. https://goo.gl/photos/WQjePnjfSznSudbYA

  14. There are so many negative reports on police departments around the country. Many of them are a service to the public to let us know about what is going on. Today, I had a knock on the door. No expected deliveries or home maintenance people expected. I open the door and there is a police officer at the door. In my mind, what happened. Jay walking can get you on the front page of the news in my town. I was read to plead the 5th even though I did not know why he was at my front door. Could it be our 4th of July partying. I had the cell phone blasting Pandora radio. To my surprise, they were not after me, lol. It was a neighborhood survey to see what we thought about their job performance and community interaction. They ask questions on neighborhood patrol, park safety, bike and riding trails. I gave them glowing remarks since this represent a police department that other communities should strive for. We don't have bogus traffic stops, police that fired on a citizen because they felt threaten(BS) and a ton of lawsuits against our department. Law enforcement does not deserve our blanket approval and support. I can say in our town, they have earned it and are a part of the community at a grass roots level. ,lol or something shocking.

  15. Might be a little bit as there has been a change in QA verification. After the factory build, check out testing and shipment they all come by here so that I can verify the verification. The length of time between deliveries (to me) determines when I ship the last verified set out; please be patient as I must check any number of tunes to ensure your satisfaction. Due to this...delay...I have generously (with prodding) agreed to sign the top of the speaker with either a marks-a-lot or dremel tool; you choice. This may delay your order.

  24. IMO the speakers look good, your asking price is fair market value (good price for Seller and Buyer). I don't know if your speakers have consecutive S/n's or not but I don't think that makes a big difference unless you have speakers with veneer that need to match R and L. Remember, timing is everything. You might relist those in a month and you'll get a lot of interest. You never know.

  26. You sound like you are indeed the great father you are striving to be. I've seen the "best friend" metioned here several times. I think this is key to a great marriage. My wife started out as friends. We went on "dates" together and for the first month, all we did was hold hands. We enjoyed simply being with each other. I'm confident we will not experience the empty nest syndrome because our children are a HUGE part of our lives but they are not our lives in it's entirety. We still do date night once a month, just she and I, leave the 4 kids at home. It doesn't matter what we do, it's just the point of being together that matters.

  27. "Where there is no vision the people perish." --- Proverbs 29:18 King Solomon Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong — Ronald Reagan All this talk about what gives one goosebumps made me think of these 2 great leaders. Our great nation does great things when led by great leaders.

  29. Well...OK The 75s are a downsize for me. I originally had Quartets in my office, but I couldn't position them correctly. Moved to Heresy III and then decided I wanted bookshelf speakers so I could get them at the right height. The 75s are now on stands on the outside of the desk.

  31. The police around here interact with the community and schools. This is a small town and has always maintain a good relationship with the public over the last 20+ years that I have lived here. This town has about as much as Mayberry USA. When I first moved here, we had less than 12 police.

  32. You do have it under control. Now that you have a Sunfire, you don't need to look at another multichannel amp again. I love my seven, and I'm only using five for now.

  33. The black matte finish does not appear to be a veneer with visible wood grain. Is this correct? I'd be interested in some first hand comparisons between the Forte III and RF-7 II.

  35. Hi, I'm concerned that you were redirected to kibo.force.com (Kibo is our ecommerce platform, by the way, but you should not be redirected to that site after you order -- you should have been redirected back to klipsch.com) If you are looking for an order status, you can call the number for order support listed on our contact-us page (klipsch.com/contact) -- which is the same # that @USNRET pasted above.

  37. That was my conclusion as well. I really like the sound of the Heresy III but to my ears, the RF-7ii not only had more bottom end but they had a much larger "presence" for lack of better words. The sound from them enveloped me and really made me feel like I was on the front row of a concert.

  39. I have a sale pending on this amp. I let the first person who actually said they will buy it, take it, regardless of other inquiries. I normally do not do this do this but this has been out there a long time. I have been doing this for over 40 years and today is the first time ever I have probably ticked off someone.

  42. A bundle of roxul rockboard 80 is in route. Hopefully this will be enough to cover the mid and high frequencies in the room. Once these are in place I can move on to address the low frequencies. Apparently the setup in the photo below was not going to fly.

  47. I would love to see what you thought with the Heresy III's on stands as well. Not that they would shame the 7's but just to see if they would be closer competition in your room set up. I know all of my Heresies are of the floor, I have never enjoyed a Heresy on ground level. Even with the risers directing the sound upward they have a tendency to sound better off the floor (to me at least). If you are interested in trying it, I am interested in reading about it. Thank you by the way for the cool comparo! Tim
