  3. Mornin' All That's about what our low should be... Into my 3rd or 4th cup. Been up since 2. Don't know why. Exciting news Wife is scheduled to get her cataract surgery done in a couple weeks. Going in next week for a pre-op and then a week later #1 gets done... 2 weeks after, the other. I bet I don't look as good afterwards. Not that I am particularly good looking to start.... I have to rely on charm and wit. Only thing I am not looking forward to, is sitting in the car, waiting. This is not the time of year to sit in a car. 100` is average for June.

  8. HI -Mudd , sure liked this video , I've been to Egypt and I've tasted a few sweet beers they make the old fashion way , the Egyptians drink everything with sugar , tea-coffee-beer as they eat pastries with beer - the closest beer to the Egyptian old fashion sweet beer , I ever drank was called LAZIZA -it was brewed in Lebanon by Almaza ,in the 60's --70- early 80's , but it no longer exists as the Laziza ia now a non-alcoholic beer sold all over the ME and Almaza is now owned by Heineken - -I make a sweet beer at home , and it tastes like a Stella-Artois with a tiny hint of sugar - -https://oct.co/travel/beirut-lebanon-middle-east-craft-beer-capital

  10. These are one of a kind! A very special custom finish using only top quality products. I enjoy doing this kind of work, and want to share this set with you. Dyed in layers using Yellow, Amber, Orange, Cinnamon. Multiple shellac wash coats were applied at various stages. Java stain provided the depth needed to make the grain really express itself. Top coated with 3 coats of satin lacquer. The grills have been washed clean. The backs and fronts have been cleaned. You will not find this level of quality anywhere in a used speaker. If you like I could even include my signature on them, but that is not necessary. More photos down in the thread below. 13. Here’s a much better study defining the cardiac impact of using hydroxychlorquine on covid19 patients. The hydroxychlorquine dosages required (recommended?) for covid19 are significantly higher than other clinical applications for the drug and they can/do lead to some serious cardiac problems even in healthy hearts. So anyone with preexisting cardiac disease surely must be at greater risk for these side effects. https://scienmag.com/study-shows-hydroxychloroquines-harmful-effects-on-heart-rhythm/

  19. Echoes is great, as well as Learning To Fly. And you can't go wrong with The Great Gig in the Sky. Actually, Pink Floyd has so many great songs that it's hard to select a top three, or even a top ten, for that matter. Everyone will have their favourites.

  22. Well I saw this a few days ago. It too is merely observational and worse from a limited point of observation. Not challenging the mans perception but he’s looking only locally (in Italy) and w/o any/much effort to validate his observations. Essentially the doctor ‘thinks’ that the covid19 cases he is treating are less severe. No ages mentioned. No indices of ailments mentioned. No discourse on morphology or community status. And if we look elsewhere we see the same monstrous covid19 virus chewing through Brazil, etc. I am not sure why this one doctors comments were worth reporting.

  23. Had a bunch of recent additions lately, but not a lot of time to upload pics. So if you guys dont mind I'm a gonna blow up this thread with some new coolness. Some of this may be available soon on the garage sale thread- I've been picking up a lot of the cool gear available to me within a two hour or so drive to be able to check it out and share with you guys my fellow Klipschmaniacs. So here goes to start a pair of Dynaco A25's restored(ish) sound incredible just ugly job under the grilles. oh yeah and i might have caught a pic of one of the two marantz 2238's i snagged recently. Gonna be bringing them to my tech this week for a check-up and possible re-cap.

  24. Another covid19 treatment study with remdesivir and this time the results are not as promising as earlier work. This article reports only on observational indices, who got better, who didn’t, etc. I sure wish they would publish data on viral loads or some more objective variable related to the infection. So it is possible that remdesivir may have limited impact and could perhaps be another hydroxychlorquine flash in the ‘hopeful’ pan. Arrrgh! https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-06-01/gilead-drug-has-only-modest-benefit-in-large-trial-shares-fall?utm_campaign=news&utm_medium=bd&utm_source=applenews

  25. This is a story told to me by someone who knows. When we went into Irag the first time people were amazed at how quickly the Iragi air force was ruined. It was supposed to be much more formidable. The Iraqi air and radar control computers were bought from France who got the computers with a back door built in from the USA. When it was time their airforce stood no chance while fighting both better aircraft and being blind in many ways. I buy Dell computers and a few years back read a story for various Dell server boards made in China. They had back doors in them. This is not new and who knows what all is in there waiting to be triggered. I bet the hair would stand up on our necks if we knew the full extent of espionage and surveillance going on. My PC's with design and machining data do not ever go online.
