    • So I now have a chance to buy some Heresy IIIs for $800. But they are not consecutive serial numbers. What do you think? Is that a big issue?   I could also buy some Heresy I-E that do have consecutive serial numbers for $650.   And I could buy some Heresy IIs that do have consecutive serial numbers for $750.    Which would you go with and why? I was originally set on 1s because  I wanted to go full vintage / analog / tube amp setup. But I hear the 3s are much better… would they fit that style of sound as well as the 1s?   Thanks!!
    • Covid, flu, and related upper respiratory problems put me mostly down for a year-and-a-half. I split my ribcage coughing. I no longer believe that one can pray at the moment of death, since twice I thought I had taken my last breath. Thankfully, most Covid cases are not so severe.  SSH
    • For sure @MC39693. I usually display and listen to my speakers without the grills attached but definitely won't loose them,  Thank you again for keeping them in such good shape.  I sometimes feel speaker grills are something in the past : )
    • Op had an electrician check out his house, I certainly HOPE he would have checked for hot and neutral reversal. My understanding so far is that this is a single integrated amplifier system. Where would any kind of isolator go?
    • @Pak323, I like it! Don’t loose those grills and badges if you display open to show off that blue!  May you enjoy them for 40+ years as I did. Still listening to my highly changed 1984s in original walnut veneer, grills etc. going to be 40 this year too.
    • I usually only paint my nails in black or dark gray.
    • Carver makes a nice looking tube amp.  I used to have an old Carver Cube amp.  It worked great.  Enjoy!.
    • Neither question is dumb; both are standard procedures in a case like this. Also check to see if the "hot" and "neutral" connections in the wall plug are reversed. One of these will do the job for you.   I have a (solid state) amplifier that only hums when the ground is lifted. I have another (solid state) amplifier that always hums unless I use one of these.
    • I like the ones on the right.  I have had RF 7, 7II, RC 64, Forte, all the Icon V series and know first hand there is no giant leap in SQ from one series to the next.  I still own the Icon VF 35's since 2011.  I got rid of a lot of Klipsch speaker but, kept the the VF 35's. The wanting to upgrade can be costly over the years. Save up and buy your dream speakers and not look back, it's cheaper, lol.
