    • the Klipsch RB61ii is already relatively bright for a speaker... I think your issue might be a physical one and one of age. Most voices are not up in that 10khz range anyway... sibilance is usually in that 7k-8k range. ask your friend if you can try them before you buy them... if hes a friend. are you by any chance running your sound thru an AVR that is not set up correctly?
    • Is there a direct link to the specifics of these new Heritage subs? I appreciate the Q&A above, but it's over an hour and I gotta few things to do. 😊 Thanks.

    • Had the unfortunate experience of a blown voice coil in one of my Klipschorn K33-E (square magnet) drivers.   Removed the dust cap to find the voice coil split in half!   Based in the UK, looking for an original driver to replace to avoid  shipping a crites driver or the new K33 circle magnet drivers.   Alternatively anyone know where to get an original voice coil?
    • Follow-up thought: I have zero interest in repackaging and moving these beastly AL5s out of the house, then wrestling with moving in a new pair of AL6s, even if the AL5 -> AL6 upgrade path ends up costing me a little more overall. As a long-time handyman and having stripped down and refurbished my share of speakers over the years, the idea of digging into the AL5s and rebuilding them to the AL6 spec myself is even more exciting than having new AL6s delivered. The upgrade work could be completed right where the speakers now sit in my living room, since I can easily pull them out and spin them around to get the backs off.
    • Hopefully, we’ll soon hear more details about content options and pricing of the upgrade kits. Personally, I’m rather anxious to convert my AL5s, and I would like to be able to incorporate all of the new AL6 components ASAP, save for the active crossover, which would be a 2nd upgrade phase for me, once I work out how I want to address the 6-channel amplification requirements.
    • They used a pair of the KI 396 at Paul Klipsch's Birthday Bash.... that says how great they are.   GLWYS
    • @Mike_S I have sent speakers using 'white glove' shipping. Not sure of the cost, but they handled them with care.
    • I'm sorry, this information may not be relevant to you, but I'm going to tell you this nonetheless. The problem This device cannot start, (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR is related to a firmware failure in the IC12 Atmel 708 24C08N memory. When initializing the device, the Bravo SA9023A controller outputs incorrect data to USB, which causes the error code 10. Why this has become possible and is quite common is a question for the developers of this device. The problem can be solved by writing correct firmware from a working device to IC12. r-51pm klipsch USB_испр.Bin
