Commericals on TV with Christmas Music--ALREADY.

Dammit wait a couple of weeks

Went shopping last week, it was an explosion of holiday ornaments

Went to the prime rib buffet at the local native owned casino last Wednesday and they had a Xmas tree at the head of the line. In a desert. Crazy.

I have two things to add to this thread:

1.) A local station "Mix 96.1" started Christmas music at 12:00:01 AM on November 1. That means if you listened to it on iHeartRadio on the west coast, it'd still be Halloween and Christmas music is playing. (Disgusting.)

2.) As of at least Thursday, my store began playing Christmas music. Christmas "stuff" hit the shelves on October 30. (Gag!)

This is not on the subject really.

I try to attend at least one and often more live (and low cost, or free) performance of Christmas music.  Usually these are choral works and often in churches.  It is a good balance to the bombardment of commercials.

Commercial type stuff makes me Grinchy.  Live church music does not.

So let me suggest that you out there seek out one or two performances in your city.

My oldest granddaughter (9-years old) is with the Cincinnati Children's Choir and we go to see her every year at Corbett Auditorium at the University of Cincinnati. That and the lead director of Choir at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (CCM) is a family friend. That gives us our dose of live Christmas music.
