kapsnb01
I believe one of the local radio stations begins their switch to all Christmas music on Monday. Seems like it gets earlier every year.

Marvel
It should wait till after Thanksgiving in the US. Correct answer! Just spent three weeks in the Philippines, Christmas music is playing in all the malls. They don't have Thanksgiving... Bruce
The History Kid
I have two things to add to this thread: 1.) A local station "Mix 96.1" started Christmas music at 12:00:01 AM on November 1. That means if you listened to it on iHeartRadio on the west coast, it'd still be Halloween and Christmas music is playing. (Disgusting.) 2.) As of at least Thursday, my store began playing Christmas music. Christmas "stuff" hit the shelves on October 30. (Gag!)

WMcD
This is not on the subject really. I try to attend at least one and often more live (and low cost, or free) performance of Christmas music. Usually these are choral works and often in churches. It is a good balance to the bombardment of commercials. Commercial type stuff makes me Grinchy. Live church music does not. So let me suggest that you out there seek out one or two performances in your city. WMcD
JohnA
I think that's a very good suggestion! Live music is always better.
Mighty Favog
My oldest granddaughter (9-years old) is with the Cincinnati Children's Choir and we go to see her every year at Corbett Auditorium at the University of Cincinnati. That and the lead director of Choir at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (CCM) is a family friend. That gives us our dose of live Christmas music.
