I bought one of the MC275 clones Jan of this year 2023, and absolutely LOVE it! I replaced the EH tubes that it came with, with high quality KR Audio KT88 tubes and NOS Telefunken ECC801S and Tesla E83CC tubes and it actually sounds better than a real MC275 with factory tubes! I currently own a real Mcintosh amplifier, and have owned a Mcintosh MC275 in the past. The transformers are different than the original Mac transformers the Chifi transformers have 16 layers and the Mac's have 12. The only issue I have had with the clone is the green diodes that light the small tubes have quit working. Now the original Mac the diodes serve a function, they turn from amber to green to notify the user that the amp is "ready". This amp the green diodes are purely cosmetic and serve absolutely no function. I actually was glad when they all failed, because I think the amplifier looks better without them! Other than this, the amplifier has performed flawlessly. Anyone wanting that Mac "tube" sound should really consider this option, as it will literally save thousands of dollars. Best Robert -

Got mine and got halfway through. First class printing job as well as the packaging. Great kleenex worthy story by the Chief. PWK treated my wife and I like long lost grandkids when we spent a day with him the year before the Chief got aboard the Klipsch Train (referring to PWK's love of Locomotives). Confused a little by all the white space around the "mini Dopes" that are illegible. IDK why they exist. Oh well............someone will explain. Still a great history lesson even though I have 2 different sets of the Klipsch Papers (one set with PWK autographes in 3 places) that contain DFH's I read before in over-Xeroxed PDFs. I do appreciate the authenticity of the color reproductions of the original paper stocks on pure white. This book is precious and first class. Congrats to the team on the excellent collaboration. Mr. K called me "one of his Victims" when I met him. It's still true today. -

Would Deoxidize all the controls especially balance and volume with contact cleaner. Thanks! -
Close! Pete Drake was using it in 1964,but Frampton was in Abbey Road Studios, sitting in on some George Harrison sessions and Pete Drake was there. Bob Heil had versions and gave one to Frampton later in '74. It had a 100 watt driver in it. Heil's version has become the most well known version.

Do you have another pair of speakers you can hook up to the amp? Another amp or receiver to run the CWs with to try and isolate the issue? -
