    • When I had a pair of 83 LSI's with an extra 3/4" on all sides and the top of the bass bins I began to notice the large peak between 100 Hz and 200 Hz more and more and finally it got to point for me that I would have to address it or move on to other speakers. The speakers (CS) that combine two different speakers exist for a reason.
    • I have had the bottoms for years that I run with my Heresy Industrials and a bass amp for a sub.   Would love to add the tops to the LSI bottoms.  Anyone?   Also if I can’t find any tops what range of signal should I send to the bottom cabinets?   I have a crossover.   mike

    • I am having some issues navigating this site. Am I starting correctly by choosing “Start new topic”? When I select garage sale a drop down box appears and I can only select Alerts, Lounge, or Right this minute. What is the process to post in the main Garage sale section?
    • Very interesting older thread with the mention of requiring a larger cabinet to solve this. Brings the Volti Audio Vittora to mind because it has a wider bass cabinet "mouth" at roughly 32" vs the La Scala's roughly 25" width and I would guess the Vittora's horn shaped bass cabinet would probably reduce bass resonances as well. It's very odd because whenever I listen to any sound demos of the La Scala's with my headsets, I always hear audible bass cabinet resonances that make me wonder if contributes too much coloration. I have never heard the La Scala's in person to say for sure, so I'm in no position to fully judge. I'm mainly stating the empirical impression I get. It's very difficult to find unbiased reviews.    I only play jazz at moderate listening levels and perhaps stand-up bass sounds nice in the La Scala's, I really don't know all the facts nor am I qualified. It's certainly an interesting topic of discussion that has me wondering. Perhaps that coloration is what connects listeners to the La Scala emotionally and an emotional connection is what's important to me most. This is why I'm not often persuaded just by measurements. It's just an audible observation I noticed, but not having heard La Scala's in a proper setting for real, prevents me from being able to judge. I love great mid-range and that's something that often impresses me about the idea of the La Scala's.
