    • I put together a pair of Super Heresy mods (Baby Cornwall?) to my 81 Heresy 1's following Claude's recipe and never looked back. I Used the Eminence Delta Pro 12a woofers, B&C DE120 super tweeters  and Dave's MAHL's, rear ports and insulation . Best speaker of it's size I ever heard. Thought I had posted about that, but it looks like I can't find that thread anymore on here.   Unfortunately, I had a Sudden Sensineural Hearing loss (i.e.- overnight) around a year and a half ago on one ear, leaving me technically deaf (i.e.- couldn't hear a 130db Jet engine if it was right next to me...). Basically couldn't listen to anything of any sound level more than muted speech, with certain sounds causing a shocking sensation in my brain, like getting zapped by a 60V battery with booster cables attached to my brain. Had to do my work with aviation grade earmuffs...  no fun at all.   Luckily, that is now tapering off... enabling me to again (finally) listen to my beloved Super Heresy's once in a while on a limited basis, though at present most of my listening is through my Beyerdynamic DT1990Pro headphones.   I don't have data to back it up, but Claude's recipe is bang on.
    • Why are you all posting such bs? Think it is helpful?
    • Hello all from Turkey. First message on forum.  just got a Heresy 2. İ have been reading threats about bass improvement.   i did not want write on older threads.   my setup is sony ta-e7b, sony ta-n7b, and this Heresy. Not being an audiophilie, i like the mids and highs. for bass improvement i came across with many solutions. As i am not familiar with technical issues, the easiest solution is upgrades from Crites. (My house is so small that i can’t place them on floor or to the corners, and no place for subwoofer)   first of all i dont want to change the stock sound character of H2 except bass.   my plans is to get   1) cw1228 for deeper bass 2) crossover rebuild kit silver   Has any one tried the cw1228? Does it worth to change to get significant improvemen on bass?. And does it effect the stock mid and high character as changes the heresy 2?   is rebuild kit changes chracter? Or just turn back to original new one?   i am not thinking of a new crossover that i dunno if change the sound character also?   for sub, even i find a place, i dont know passive or active woofer and how to connect them. To speakers or to the amp   sorry for my english. thanks in advance
    • It will be a night and day upgrade.  No comparison whatsoever.
    • I think they’re rear ported so it might slightly affect their bass output.
    • This right here just fixed mine. I just ran into this issue, sub only working, so I found this thread and just replaced my cap with a 10uf 50v cap to see if it fixed it and boom it did. So the 22uf cap has been ordered. Thank you for this fix.
    • To continue the unequal warm Heat-sink issue: Yesterday; I connected (wife's Insignia NS-B4111 CD Boombox) to the Yamaha A-S2200. I was playing music for 5 hours at 110db. The room was 59°-Fahrenheit. I checked the temperature of the left and right heat-sinks. (they were both 88°) I played music on the Technics SL-PD8 (compact disc player) connected to the Yamaha A-S2200 (at the same 110db volume) and the heat-sinks reached got warmer (left reached 92° and the right reached 90°). Anyone know the reason for this?
    • Will there be a warning or will everything just go dark? On the bright side, if it happens, there will be one less password to remember!
